The Friends of Scarborough College offer a programme of events and activities designed with the objective of bringing together parents, staff and students in fun ways that enhance the feeling of belonging to a whole school community. We also work closely with the Old Scardeburgians’ Association (OSA) – the Alumni association of past pupils and staff of Scarborough College, supporting one another, and Scarborough College, whenever and however we can. This all results in us being able to support and enhance the whole Scarborough College experience, for families with children aged from 3 to 18– and beyond.
We will keep you up to date with the wide range of events that you can enjoy, as well as letting you know of other services that we now offer such as quality second hand uniform, games equipment and musical instruments.
Regular coffee mornings, lunches and suppers are organised for parents, and provide an ideal way of networking and getting to know the school community. Information about these is provided in our regular newsletters and on the website calendar.
Fundraising – where does the money go? We are continually enhancing the facilities for our children by providing all sorts of extra items, from books, bird feeders, sports equipment and computers to the new rain shelters on the Astroturf pitch. We make sure that the whole school benefits, from our youngest to our oldest, who all have differing needs and areas in which we can provide additional support.
So with your help we can really make a difference. Working together as parents, staff, students and friends of the College, we can achieve a great deal to benefit the life of the school and the wider community.
