Boarding House Developments - 2019 and beyond
Phase One was completed in November 2018 with the full refurbishment of Denys Crews House, our Junior Boys’ House. This is now home to 17 of our boys from Years 7 - 11 and their two residential house parents.
Phase Two of the £4 million redevelopment plan is well under way. Weaponness House is now firmly in the hands and care of our contractors, architects and project management team. In addition to the existing building refurbishment, there will be a new wing which will considerably increase our capacity for Sixth Form students.
This will create a wonderful home for our senior boys and girls allowing them to enjoy similar modern facilities to that of Denys Crews House. This will include single, en-suite rooms for the Sixth Formers plus the option of double or twin rooms for Year 11 students and those Sixth Formers who might prefer to share.
This also allows the opportunity for us to welcome more of our local day students to join the boarding community as weekly and flexi boarders. There are Wi-Fi, shared lounges, the garden and a modern courtyard. In addition we maintain numerous traditional features within the main building.
Weaponness House is scheduled to be ready for our senior pupils to move in to and make their own from September 2019.
