In their introduction to the learning of a modern foreign
language, pupils at Lisvane take French from the Early Years. German and
Spanish are introduced at a later stage so that by the time they leave Lisvane
they will have met three European languages and acquired an excellent foundation
for thier language learning at secondary level.

At The College :
A strong emphasis is place on the teaching of modern foreign languages
throughout. Students may choose to take French, German and Spanish at GCSE
and beyond. We believe it to be essential that students study at least one
of these to GCSE. There is no weighting in favour of one or other language.
