At Lisvane, we believe it is important to encourage boys and
girls to experience the pleasures and rewards of creative work. Visual Art,
Drama and Music all form an integral part of the curriculum. Children also
benefit enormously from the wealth of extra curricular activities available
to all year groups.

Music
In September 2002 the board of governors embarked on a major scheme of
investment in music. This culminated in the opening of the fantastic Janet
Martin Music School. The Music School houses eight individual teaching and
rehearsal rooms, an ensemble room, secure musical instrument store room
and a state of the art music technology classroom.
Drama
This is an exciting subject which is available to students throughout
the school. The GCSE Drama course is flexible and rewarding. In the GCSE
course students work in groups of three or more, concentrating on their
own interests and strengths. A carefully planned programme of visits to
the professional theatre complements practical choices.
Art
Art is a subject which constantly changes and redefines itself, moving
into new areas, concerning itself with new ideas. Art at scarborough College
aims to give its students the skills to find individual means of expression
within both traditional and new art forms.
