Pastoral Care
A Family Community On entry into the senior school, girls and boys are quickly made to feel at home both academically and socially. We regard a close, well informed and open relationship between school and home as vital to the success of our students.

A system of grades and detailed reports every term enables tutors and parents to review progress in all areas and there are regular meetings to discuss students' welfare.
Boarding Boarders - full, weekly or temporary are accommodated within easy walking distance of the College in spacious and comfortable Victorian houses on Filey Road. These houses operate on family principles under the care of resident housestaff and their assistants.

The houses provide an environment conducive to academic work and enterprising leisure pursuits. For many, boarding develops a sense of independence and personal and communal responsibility and, as such, provides them with an excellent preparation for university life.

More insight into life as a boarder can be found by browsing the boarding section of the website.
Medical Care A fully qualified nurse is on duty throughout the school day. Medical cover for boarding students is provided through the College's medical officer.
