College Parents' Association |
| Welcome |
Welcome to the Scarborough College Parents’ Association. All parents
automatically become part of the Parents’ Association when a child
joins the school. The Parents’ Association is usually present at Parents’
Evenings and Open Days; please feel free to come and talk to us. |
| |
We are planning several events over the coming year and we hope that we
can tempt some new faces, as well as the familiar ones to join in. |
| |
Newsletters are sent out periodically on pink paper on a Thursday; please
check your children’s bags! If you would prefer for correspondence to be emailed
to you, please contact our Secretary, Christine Bramham on 01723 350782. |
| |
All members of the Committee are happy to be contacted at any time. Telephone
numbers can be found on this website, or on the notice board in the entrance
to the school. |

Lisvane Parents’ Association |
| Dedicated team |
The Lisvane PA is a dedicated team who organise a range of events to raise
money that provides some of the ‘extras’ the children can enjoy
during their time at the Junior School. These donations usefully supplement
the annual educational spending at the school and are both welcomed and
appreciated by the teachers and pupils |
| Organised events |
The events the PA organises also afford an excellent opportunity for parents
to meet, and thus get to know one another. All letters home from the PA
are easily identified as they are printed on pink paper. These letters keep
parents informed of forthcoming events and provide updates on monies raised
and purchases made. |
| Notices |
The PA also operates a Notice Board outside the Junior School on the left
as the main path heads to the entrance foyer. Please consult the Board when
you visit the school for useful information and to see the display of important
announcements |
| Mission statement |
The Parents’ Association exists to support and enhance the work
of the school as a community that provides the best possible all round education
for every child. |
| |
The Parents Association aims:
- to create opportunities, encourage and build on the good relationship
between home and school through the social events and activities arranged
by the Committee;
- to arrange social events where teachers, parents and children can
join together and have fun, enhancing the community spirit between home
and school;
- to raise funds at such events, adding to the facilities and purchasing
items for educational use that extend and/or complement the provision
at school for the children.
