The Junior School recently held their fundraising week for the RSPCA. This has now become an annual event, organised by Mrs Reed. This year, as well as the usual ‘bring and buy’ toy sale, tuck shop, casuals day and face painting for the children, we also held a ‘Girls Night In’ for the mums and their friends. We enjoyed wine and canapes, a raffle, mini-manicures by the ladies at York House Salon,a range of fashion by Beso and a Christmas gifts and cards stall.
We raised £700 in total and Lesley, Margaret and Margaret’s dog, Issy, from the local branch of the RSPCA came into assembly on Friday, 2nd December, to be presented with the cheque and to tell the children how the money mould be used by the charity to help the animals.
