Sports Results Monday 12th December.
Boys Rugby
1st Xv beat Queen Ethelburgas 31- 22 in the 5thRound of the Daily Mail Vase. This great result means that their rugby season extends into next term. They play the next round, which is the North Semi final, on the first Wednesday back. The match is against Duchess Community High School from Alnwick.
U15 lost their last match of the season against Ashville 27-5, with both Joe Barker and Ben Hartley injured, this was a weakened team. They battled hard but missed too many crucial tackles the U15 this season have been good with the ball in hand but defence has been weak.
U14 won their last match against Hymers 29-10, Oliver Brown and Tarric Rajab both playing very well and their link with Miles Horsham Batley proved the main advantage. The Bulmer brothers dominated the forwards and this match was a really fitting end to a season that has just got better and better.
Girls Hockey
1st XI beat St Peters 3-2. The girls 1st XI finished on a high note with a good victory against a yound St Peters side. Two of the goals were of the highest quality and a season that had a mid season wobble has ended with morale high and some great wins.
U15 beat Rydale school 10-0 in the District Knock out Cup. They now play the final next term against Whitby school.
A great end to the terms sports fixtures and below is our Winter 2011 Gallery with some reminders of the seasons sports events.
