Modern Foreign Languages Christmas Assembly

pierre-as-an-angel Miss Brock inspired our foreign students to tell us about Christmas traditions in their countries.  We heard from Anja Puric who is Croatian, Max Guhr who is part Italian, Pierre Gerard who is French and Christian Krestel who is part Romanian.

Miss Brock’s final surprise was a collection of angels bearing gifts of sweets which were distributed to a very appreciative audience.

Carrying on the European Christmas theme the MFL staff organised a cake stall with Stollen, Belgian chocolate biscuits and other delights.

Bargain prices nevertheless produced a surplus £30 which was given to the Rainbow Centre Christmas Appeal, ahead of the Donation Day on Friday when it is hoped to raise enough money to provide Christmas gifts for those much less fortunate than ourselves.
