1st XV through to Round 5 of the Daily Mail Vase

josh-1 A great day yesterday for Scarborough College as they progressed through to round 5 of the Daily Mail Vase Rugby Competition.

The team won 17-15 in a very close and hard fought game.

Pocklington opened the scoring but then the College came back hard through powerful runs from Clayton Hill, Josh Morrison and Luke Proudfoot.  All 15 players were playing with real determination and some huge hits were going in all over the field. With 5 minutes left and Pocklington leading by a point, we won a penalty in front of the posts.

Sam Emmerson  stepped up and despite the pressure, secured the three points. This gave the College  an excellent victory and is a result of the hard work that the boys have put in this season.

We now look forward to round 5 on the 7th December.
