Harvest Festival

Harvest Festival Pupils from Scarborough College celebrated harvest festival by giving produce and food they had collected to the Rainbow Centre in Scarborough.  Parents were invited to join the assembly which included poetry readings and songs culminating in a traditional harvest hymn.

Head Teacher, Isobel Nixon commented on how well everyone had done; She said: “Everyone from our pre-school children in Little Owls to our sixth form students have worked really hard to bring in home grown produce for the Rainbow Centre. The College’s age range makes celebrations
like this really special as we can all meet together.”

Trish Kinsella of The Rainbow Centre also attended and thanked the College.  She explained the work of the Centre which offers practical support to Castle Ward residents in Scarborough – an area that had been designated as an Urban Priority Area.
