Guernsey – the final fixtures

guernsey-rugby-tour-huddle-2011 The 1st XV Rugby team beat Elizabeth College 52-7 infront of a crowd of 100 people. The three quarters trio of Sam Emmerson, Alex Renwick and James Marshall proved too strong for the opposition. There was an amazing atmosphere at the game and this was a fantastic way to finish the tour for the boys, especially as they are all playing great rugby and enjoying it.  Unfortunately, the girls VII netball team lost to The Ladies College 21-7.  In their final hockey match, the girls 1st XI lost 2-0 to a Guernsey Island U17 team.  This was a great match and played in a good spirit.  The Scarborough College team spent most of the match defending and had to dig deep to keep out a very talented island team.  A good result and performance all round. The tour finished with a meal at ‘Crabby Jacks’.   A great restaurant located on the beach where sirloin steak was cooked at the table on a hot stone! Presentations were made and everyone left Guernsey with happy memories and a desire to come back.  Many thanks to all the staff who took the teams to Guernsey, providing solid coaching and encouragment throughout the tour.
