The Scarborough College 1st XV Rugby squad and 1st XI Hockey squad arrived safely in Guernsey after a lengthy drive down and a calm crossing.
After a long journey they were all very pleased to get settled into their comfortable hotel.
On Tuesday 18th October both squads did some training sessions on the beach prior to the first matches against Guernsey Grammar School and Sixth Form Centre. The girls achieved a highly creditable 3 – 3 draw against The Grammar School 1st XI, with Charlotte Osthelder making her debut in goal.
The boys managed to beat the Grammar School 1st XV 22 – 10, with Tom Fraser scoring his first try for the College 1st XV. A great start to the tour!
The girls are playing The Ladies’ College Guernsey this afternoon, Wednesday 19th October, with the boys next match is scheduled for Thursday 20th October. I’m sure there will also be a little time for R&R after some more training sessions!
