The final phase of the Borneo Expedition involved 3 days R & R on Palau Mamutik, one of the Tar Islands. These islands are just off the Borneo coast and were used in the reality TV show ‘Survivor’. The expedition group spent 3 days on the island, enjoying the sun, the beaches and the snorkelling.
We were also introduced to wild Monitor Lizards, fairly quiet animals, which look very much as if they have escaped from Jurassic Park! They certainly got our attention!
And now homeward bound!
