The Final Assembly of 2010-11 at Scarborough College saw Mrs Nixon congratulate, give thanks and acknowledge all the hard work and achievements that the students and staff have made throughout this academic year, especially the Summer Term.
Special thanks and appreciation were made to four members of staff who have all completed 30 years service, or longer, with the College. Mrs Catherine Lucas and Mr John Precious are both celebrating 30 years teaching at Scarborough College, while Mr Paul Swinger (Groundsman) and Mrs Lesley Clennell (Catering Manager) have done considerably more!
Mrs Nixon then reflected on some of the recent College activities, such as the Spanish exchange, Duke of Edinburgh Awards and the Summer Serenade Concert. Thanks and farewells were said to Mr Powell, Mr Roberts and Mrs Pears who are all leaving the College at the end of this term. Mrs Nixon also reminded everyone of the forthcoming Borneo trip, wishing them well, and that term resumes on 5th September 2011.
