In the past three years Scarborough College has seen an excellent set of Business Studies Grades in the IGCSE categories amongst female students. It has consequently been named and awarded the prestigious ‘2011 Good Schools Guide GCSE Award’ for the best point score at an English School for girls taking Business Studies in the Cambridge International Examination IGCSE.
With combined teaching from both Head of Department John Precious and Phil Wilson, they are delighted by the recognition that has been given to the department:-
“Both Phil and I are delighted by this recognition, even more so when we talked long and hard about whether to change over to the IGCSE syllabus. However, it’s not the teacher that sits the exam and really the recognition should go to all those who worked hard and threw themselves into the subject to achieve such fantastic results.”
This is an exceptional achievement for Scarborough College and something that the students should be very proud of.
